Oriental Studies

This degree was recently introduced due to the increasing petitions and colleges' modernisation as well. It focuses on the study of Asia from a linguistic, cultural, social, political, historical and economical point of view.
Throughout the degree, you'll be able to learn some Asian languages such as Chinese, Korean or Japanese.
In Andalusia, Oriental Studies is taught at Málaga, Granada and Sevilla, with an 8 as its minimum grade.

Students tackle Oriental Studies analyzing Asia in every single way, and this is favoured by Spanish and Asia getting along well. Thus, a graduate in Oriental Studies can work as a tour guide, a translator... and also as a person in charge of international relations in places like companies and organizations, thanks to the given subjects (see here).

Personally, I feel really attracted to this culture: I used to study Japanese with a native teacher and I got to use lots of instructional materials, such as this book:

If you've already achieved some Japanese basic skills,
try your best translating the whole story!
読書のためのおかげで!

  1. That degree seems really interesting to know about other cultures. I like the idea of writing the posts in English and Spanish
