Marine Biology

Marine Biology is a science that studies those living beings that inhabit marine ecosystems.  In order to achieve a comprehensive upkeep and maintenance of every marine species, this field uses Geology, Geography, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
After graduating from Biology and taught by the Zoology Department, these studies are a Master Degree in Vigo's, A Coruña's and Santiago de Compostela's Universities, with Marine Ecology and Zoology, Physiology... being very important subjetcs. Marine Biology is only an optional subjetc at the remaining universities, such as Sevilla's one.

A marine biologist does lots of labours, for example:
  • Analyze sea creatures (animals and vegetals).
  • Study the distribution of species in marine ecosystems.
  • Propose conservation and management measures for the environment.
  • Study endemic species.
  • Evaluate the environmental impact.
  • Work in research projects.
  • Etc.
Personally, I'm interested in Marine Biology because I'm so curious about unsolved mysteries. The ocean is our source of life, and it is 10 kilometres deep. Yet humans have only explored 1200 metres of it.
